Puja Mitra is a professional conservation practitioner with an MSc in Biodiversity, Conservation & Management from the University of Oxford and is a Commonwealth Scholar (2008-09). She has worked in the recent past, as :
As Senior Programme Coordinator for the World Wide Fund for Nature – India (WWF-India), Goa State Office, she conceptualized and executed a pioneering integrated project assessing the impact of boat based tourism on dolphins and corals in Goa, including building capacity of local operators to improve the quality of the experiences they offer as well as developing recommendations for a state marine tourism policy through a participatory approach.
As Campaign Manager with India’s apex national animal protection agency, the Federation of Indian Animal Protection Organisations (FIAPO) she ran a successful campaign to prohibit the establishment of dolphinaria in India.
As Trust Coordinator with The Kishkinda Trust in Hampi, Karnataka, managing livelihood development programmes for rural communities.
An experienced Scuba diving professional and Marine Ecology specialist licensed by Scuba Schools International (SSI) dive association, Roshan is also a passionate cyclist, and has spent many years exploring the coastal forests and trails between Goa and Karwar, which is his home base. His enthusiasm for nature, conservation and responsible diving makes every activity he leads an engaging and an enjoyable learning experience.
