RESPONSIBLE TOURISM COLLECTIVE

In March 2018, we initiated the formation of a 'Responsible Tourism Collective' to bring together a range of responsible tourism initiatives in Goa on a common platform. The members of this collective are other businesses who we know are genuinely motivated to offer quality, eco conscious and responsible experiences in Goa. The aim of setting up this collective was to promote knowledge-sharing and capacity building among the members with the ultimate objective of mainstreaming responsible tourism in Goa. Below is a list of members from three different categories: 

HERITAGE & RURAL TOURISM

  1. Make it Happen

Make It Happen specialises in curating authentic heritage experiences in Goa including heritage walks in Fontainhas, village walking trails and sketch crawls. These experiences provide access to extraordinary local people who are happy to share their culture and way of life with guests.

3. Nativefolks

Nativefolks is a social business that provides rich experiences to help you explore rural Goa. They have options for traditional Goan homestays as well as rural trips and experiences.

  1. The Local Beat

The Local Beat offers experiences that showcase Goa through the eyes of locals. Their experiences include heritage and rural walks, learning local skills such as dance, pottery and jam-making as well as outdoors experiences such as cycling and kayaking. 

ADVENTURE SPORTS

  1. Vaayu

Vaayu offers lessons in surfing, kitesurfing, paddleboarding, kayaking and wakeboarding. They also offer kayaking excursions, river boat trips and other nature-based experiences.

2. Goa Rafting

Goa Rafting offers white water rafting experiences in the Mhadei River during the monsoon season (June - September). These experiences are conducted in collaboration with the Goa TourismDevelopment Corporation. 

Offtrail Adventures offers a range of adventure tourism activities including trekking, rock climbing, cycling, kayaking and camping in various different locations all over Goa.

WILDLIFE WATCHING / NATURE EXPERIENCES

1. Wildernest

Wildernest is a nature resort situated in the Western Ghats region of Goa. Apart from accommodation, Wildernest also offers foot trails into the forests nearby, interpretive talks with naturalists and hikes into the Ghats.

1. Khoj-aao

Khoj-aao offers offbeat adventurous experiences in Goa including birding walks, overnight camping and cycling trails.
